From his Official Twitter Acount, WWE Mainstay Jerry "The King" Lawler tweeted the news that former WWE Superstar Kamala (James Harris) has passed away. At this time, it's not known what the cause of his death is but we'll keep you updated as new information becomes available.

Kamala debuted in the WWE in 1984, under the management of "Classy" Freddie Blassie and he worked a program in the late 1980's with Hulk Hogan, for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. in 1987, Kamala left the WWE after alleged frustrations over his salary.

Update: It's reported by Bleacher Report's Jason King, that Kamala had contracted COVID-19, most likely from his frequent visits to the hospital for his dialysis. But he apparently went into cardiac arrest Sunday Afternoon.

"Spoke w/ Kamala’s wife. He tested positive Wednesday for COVID which he likely contracted from one of his numerous weekly visits to the dialysis center. Was hospitalized Wednesday night & seemed fine & in good spirits this morning. Went into cardiac arrest & passed this afternoon."

We here at Pro Wrestling Slam! would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Harris Family at this time.
