On a recent episode of '83 Weeks' with Co-hosts Conrad Thompson and Eric Bischoff, when they were reminiscing on WCW Hog Wild 1996, the subject came up on who came up with and how the idea came about to spray paint the WCW World Heavyweight Title with nWo, which remains of the most iconic moments in WCW History came about. Here's what Eric Bischoff had to say about that moment.

Bischoff explains the genesis of spray painting the WCW World Title with nWo.

"There was no like master plan to pull that off. I think, you know, there was some discussion about it before hand, let's make sure we got some black paint handy, we talked about it a little bit, but it wasn't like for three weeks we talked about it, and I loved it. And you know what to this day I signed autographs for four hours today. I can't tell you the number of Big Gold belts, with the nWo logo sprayed on it that I was asked to sign today. "

Bischoff went on to comment on how some pro wrestling fans reacted, when the WCW Title was "defaced" by Hulk Hogan and the nWo and how it became the preface of the war between the two.

"And the fact that, you know, so many of those, you know Terry Funk, Dusty Rhoses, Jack Brisco, you know, Jerry Brisco, NWA fans were just completely offended by it made it work. That was the essence that was the premise, if you will, of the NWA versus WCW, that was the beginning of what was intended to be initially a brand split. And it worked amazingly and to this day 22 years later, people still carry those belts around in WWE still manufacturing and selling, otherwise I wouldn't have been signing them. So the fact that 22 years later, that moment still resonates speaks volumes about the decision, and the choice to do it."
