It's reported that AEW is going to have big plans for its current superstar Kenny Omega. Initially, the company wanted Omega to be utilized as an enhancement talent, for the tag team division and for up and coming AEW Wrestlers. But apparently the new plan for Omega is for him to be a major star in the company over the next year.
Omega commented on fan concerns on several occasions, saying:
"Just because things aren't the same as they were in NJPW doesn't mean I'm not finding success. This isn't about tooting my own horn, but it's like I'm now helping run a company that has live television every Wednesday. I'm existing within a division of guys that are amongst the top of all the tag teams on all of the planet and showing that it takes more than just having a good, long singles match to be called the best in the world."
If AEW does indeed to give Omega a big push in the company, then he's most likely going to be involved in programs with Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho, which would be interesting to say the least.
