W.O.W Superstar Simone Sherie recently spoke with Women's Wrestling Weekly, here are some highlights.

SIMONE SHERIE SHARES WHEN SHE KNEW SHE WANTED TO BE A PRO WRESTLER

"I watched it pretty religiously growing up….It never really crossed my mind that I can actually wrestle and be a pro wrestler. It was just a love and a passion that I had for it to just watch it. I grew up doing Muay Thai and transitioned into boxing. I moved to LA 5 years ago...I was actually at my boxing gym and a couple of pro wrestler walked in and we ended up chatting and they kind of planted the seed in my head, “Have you ever thought about doing pro wrestling?” Literally from that moment on in my head, I couldn’t get it out of my head…"

SIMONE SHERIE TALKS ABOUT HER 1ST DAY OF WRESTLING CAMP WITH SANTINO BROTHERS WRESTLING ACADEMY

"It was brutal. It was brutal. I was at one of my fittest at that point so I got through it but your second or third day you start doing bumps and I was like Oh god! The moment you take your first bump you’re going to decide whether you’re going to keep going or not… you can see people take bumps but actually doing it is very different. Throwing yourself to the ground is very weird. The moment I did that, I freaking love this, this is really cool. I ended up training for one year at Santino Brothers and had my debut last September."

SIMONE SHERIE SHARES HOW WOW’S PRINCESS AUSSIE WAS CREATED & HER INSPIRATION FOR CREATING THE CHARACTER

"So Princess Aussie has changed alot since she first debut in Season 1. In really cool and weird ways, you will understand later. When Princess Aussie first debut it really came off of a back story. One time, we were just after training at WOW having dinner together and this was the first time we hung out with the girls…… we got talking and this was before Princess Aussie, the character was going… we started talking and telling them about me and when I was younger I was bullied. I talk about it often and it’s something that should be talked out… I had some situations and I saw alot when I was younger that kind of led me to learn how to fight and protect myself."

SIMONE SHERIE GIVES HER THOUGHTS ON WHERE WOMEN’S WRESTLING INDUSTRY IS GOING

"In terms of what I’m looking forward to the most, it’s an insane time right now in women’s wrestling, this is definitely at the best ever in terms of opportunities and eyes in terms of support and literally everything. For me, I’m just really excited to be a part of it. I wish I had found it earlier but it’s on my life’s call right now and that’s when it was supposed to happen for me. I’m excited to keep creating and being a part of something that’s history in the making."

SIMONE SHERIE RECOUNTS HER 1ST MATCH EVER AND THE TRAINING LEADING UP TO IT

"It’s definitely not what you expect. My first match I was in my head, like with anyone, because I grew up dancing and everything is choreographed unless we are doing freestyle. I actually fell out of love with dancing because it was like that...and so then going into boxing when everything is really small and kind of within this area. Then going to pro wrestling which is the opposite of both of them it was extremely challenging for me. Extremely challenging. We would be doing drills and stuff like that where you just have someone running the ropes and you’re in between and everything is on the fly and you’re having to react. Doing those types of drills you know it’s going to be challenging…"

SIMONE SHERIE TALKS ABOUT THE IMPACT SHE WANTS PRINCESS AUSSIE TO HAVE IN WOW AND A FUTURE GENERATIONS OF YOUNG FANS

"For Princess Aussie and personally for me it’s more about the younger generation especially young women growing up. The back story about talking about bullying and how real it’s really out there. That’s the biggest thing…. It’s definitely not just within WOW but I talk about it often. Every character on WOW has their own purpose, back story and own movement and that’s the biggest one for Princess Aussie."
