Last night on WWE SmackDown it was announced by Commissioner Shane McMahon, that Daniel Bryan handed in his resignation as General Manager and will be replaced by Paige from here on in. Paige's first order of business as General Manager was a match she made, between WWE Champion A.J. Styles vs. Daniel Bryan for later in the show.

Paige announced her retirement from in ring action Monday night on RAW due to a career ending neck injury, and there was some speculation that she'd work in the WWE Performance Center, in Florida. It seems at least for the foreseeable future, that she'll remain on WWE TV full time, to run the show as General Manager of SmackDown, despite the objections of Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon.
