A few days ago, we reported that WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling icon Ric Flair was admitted to hospital on August 12th, originally for "heart related issues". According to a report from Sports Illustrated, said reports of Flair's heart related issues were not accurate, and it was actually an intestinal blockage which resulted in having part of his bowel removed. Flair was placed in a medically induced coma earlier this week, in order to undergo said surgery on his bowel.

Flair spoke to SI 10 days ago, commenting that his excessive consumption of alcohol throughout his career, was a major factor in his serious issues which landed him in the hospital.

“I had one vice, I’m not going to point my finger at anybody else. My vice was drinking. I didn’t have any pain issues, addiction problems, marijuana, cocaine, nothing like that. It’s a fact that I kept myself up all night and always had a good time.”

Hopefully after this surgery on his bowel, Flair will be out of the hospital soon, but most reports have stated that his stay could be at least 30 days. As always, we here at Pro Wrestling Slam! wish Ric Flair a very speedy recovery.
