According to several reports, former multiple time WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio may be returning to the company. In a report from Sports Illustrated, Mysterio has not yet re-signed with Lucha Underground, for fourth seasons and after the Season 3 finale airs, he will be eligible to sign with any pro wrestling promotion.
Mysterio is also allegedly looking to sign with Global Force Wrestling, which would be a smart move for the promotion as its current champion Alberto Del Rio is suspended from allegations of domestic abuse of his long time girlfriend WWE Star Paige. So replacing a Latino wrestler with another Latino wrestler in a lateral move wouldn't impact GFW's ratings in a major way.
