Possible Plan Change For WWE SummerSlam?

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

According to several reports, the original plan for the Main Event of WWE SummerSlam was Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Title. But that plan is apparently going to change, with Lesnar now facing Roman Reigns for said title at the Summer WWE Pay-per-view.

Roman Reigns did "announce" two weeks ago on RAW that he wanted the winner of the Lesnar - Samoa Joe Match at WWE Great Balls of Fire, so if this plan change is legit then it would appear that the WWE had this plan change in mind for the past few weeks. Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns was the original plan for WrestleMania 34, but with John Cena a "free agent" in the company, there is some speculation (but nothing confirmed) that a possible match between John Cena & Roman Reigns could be the replacement match.
