A "Paige" Of Time

In wrestling, there are people that have that "it" factor; and there are people that just don't have that. In my honest opinion, Paige has that "It' factor and will have a great career in WWE. A prodigy in the wrestling business for a while, Paige learned so much from her father, British wrestling legend "Rowdy" Ricky Knight and her mother, former SHIMMER Champion "Sweet" Saraya Knight; and it shows in the ring. Her brothers Zak and Roy Knight are also a part of the Knight family, as a successful tag team in their native England. Paige, like many kids in the United Kingdom, started wrestling at the age of 10 with the help of her family. In 2005, Paige made her wrestling debut when her dad asked her to replace another wrestler who didn't show up on time; and at that moment on, she made an impact on this industry. In 2006, under the name of Britani Knight she paired up with a wrestler named Melodi (Now known as Sammi Baynes) and became a tag team known as The Norfolk Dolls. The tag team won their first championship together, the World Association of Women's Wrestling (Now known as Bellatrix) Tag Team Championship. That title would later be inactive thanks to the fact that the Norfolk Dolls didn't defend the titles regularly. Britani traveled all over the world at the age of 14; from Germany to France, Scotland, Wales, wherever she went, she made her mark in the wrestling world. She is the most decorated athlete in the UK to this very day, as she collected the WAWW British Championship, RQW European Ladies Champion, the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship, and many more. In 2011, Britani made her SHIMMER debut with her mother Saraya. The two wreaked havoc in their stay in the promotion, by challenging for the tag team championships, but the two came to a collision course by facing each other in one of the most memorable matches in SHIMMER history. While that stay was short, it prepared Britani for another journey; to the WWE. In 2012, Britani Knight faded away into the darkness, and in its place came Paige; the self-proclaimed "Anti-Diva" poised to make her mark in the wrestling world. She teamed up with fellow wrestling veteran Sofia Cortez (Also known as Ivelisse) and together they dominated the women's division in Florida Championship Wrestling, the predecessor of NXT. During her stay in NXT, she has captured the NXT Women's Championship in a tournament that also featured Tamina Snuka, Alicia Fox and Emma. She held the belt for an astonishing 308 days, a record that still stands today. While as NXT Women's Champion, she made her long-awaited WWE debut by beating AJ Lee for the WWE Divas Championship, making her the first woman to hold the NXT Women's and WWE Divas Championship simultaneously, as well as the youngest champion in the belt's history at the age of 21. This year, she has made her WrestleMania debut this past Sunday when she paired up with AJ Lee to face off with Nikki and Brie Bella in a tag team match. It was the most amazing debut I have ever seen or heard since John Cena at WrestleMania 20 in 2004. While there are many detractors out there, the #1 ranked woman on Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 2014 Female 50 proved time and time again that she is not one to be doubted. I don't care what anybody says, Paige is one of the absolute best in the ring, and her record in her near 10-year career shows that. She is more than just a prodigy, she is more than an Anti-Diva...She is a champion. And don't you ever try to piss her off. Just ask her mother.
