Remember when I said that Brock Lesnar being WWE World Heavyweight Champion is bad for business? Well, I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so! As of right now, Lesnar's last match of the year was at Night Of Champions against John Cena; and multiple sources said that Lesnar not scheduled for any WWE events through the end of 2014. With nobody to feud right now and his price tag is as big as LeBron James's contract, it looks to be that the Beast Incarnate won’t be returning until the Royal Rumble in January of 2015. And when I say that's bad for business, I meant what I said. I might get a rebuttal from either my colleagues or the internet fans, but that doesn't change my view on the topic at hand here. I know Lesnar is a big draw for the company for the time being, but for him to take a break while being a champion doesn't make any sense at all. This may make the IWC happy, even though I don't have to agree with some of them. But with no top champion for the rest of the year, then the belt next to it which of course the Intercontinental Championship will be defended on a monthly basis, and that will be nowhere near the main event of a pay-per-view. Now at the top of a PPV card will be matches that don't have championship implications let alone wrestle to see who is better. These fans have finally proved that media hype is more important than consistency every time; and they have bought it hook, line and sinker. As far as Lesnar goes, he might as well ship that belt to Stamford because he won't be defending that belt anytime soon. But that won't happen because WWE has plans for him next year as the champion, so for now enjoy watching WWE without a major champion for the next 3 months. For now, the WWE will have John Cena main eventing without being a champion; Right now, he has a beef with Seth Rollins after Mr. Money In The Bank screwed him out of being a 16-Time Champion. That might bring joy to those who bought into Lesnar's media hype while out brings nothing but aggravation to those who want to see a full-time guy hold on to the WWE Championship. In boxing, we don't see a champion defend a championship in like 3 months. In Floyd Mayweather's case, I see him fight twice a year. Same thing in MMA too. But in wrestling, there's no off-season and there's no rest. Defending a top championship every month has to be a top priority if you're in the wrestling business. Not defending it makes that championship irrelevant. If that's the case, the world will consider the WWE Championship a joke while the TNA Championship will see some major stability. While I take the heat about being more a traditionalist while some fans agree with what I said when Lesnar first win the belt. But WWE controls what the fans want them to control and that alone proves why whining fans are always getting what they want.
