Lana's Comments Are The Wrong Kind Of Propaganda

This past Sunday night at the WWE Battleground event, Lana said things that made people extremely upset. Yes, after the Malaysian Airlines went down thanks in part of Russian Anti-Aircraft weapons, it was never mentioned on WWE TV by name however. But the tone and the way it sounded however got social media in a angry mood. That line was not only distasteful, it was completely out of line. Even the news outlets like The Washington Post got their two cents on the controversy, stating it was a cheap success of getting boos all over arenas in the states, and the way they covered it was like a big political issue. WWE later issued an statement apologizing about the incident. But there are some that still wants the WWE to rectify the issue as quickly as possible. It's been three months since Lana and “The Bulgarian Brute" Rusev has been in a story-line pertaining the classic USA vs. Russia tactic that has been used successfully in the 1980's, but the distasteful promo that the ravishing Lana has delivered to an worldwide audience days after the incident is going to be up in smoke by the mile. To me as a wrestling fan, the WWE needs to figure out a way to quietly back away from the Russian propaganda and the way it was utilized. It was truly uncalled for and hopefully there might be disciplinary actions surrounding it when it's all said and done. There should be no tolerance for politics in wrestling, real or otherwise.
