VALKYRIE Can Make History In NYC

Women's wrestling in New York City has not been seen in over 40 years. With women's wrestling being showcased on an international level, there are many women's wrestling promotions in North America: ChickFight in San Francisco, SHIMMER in Chicago, WSU in New Jersey, SHINE in Tampa, and nCw Femme Fatales in Montreal. VALKYRIE has the opportunity to put New York City on the women's wrestling map, and they have the all star talent to do so. Lots of bumps along the way when it comes to talent but at least they are honest about it and not go off and lie about it. Does anybody believe that VALKYRIE can be successful in New York City? “I do! I believe it can be successful anywhere, provided the amount of time, effort and dedication put into it are what they need to be in order for that success to happen," says former NWA Women's Champion Kacee Carlisle. “It would take time, support from the fans and wrestling world in general, but anything is possible!" The only way to seize the opportunity to build a fan base in the Big Apple is no easy task, but VALKYRIE is up to the task. If it becomes successful, they should do more shows in New York on a regular basis. With WSU making New Jersey the place for their shows, Long Island and New York was left without a women's wrestling promotion to support. With VALKYRIE coming in, the New York City fans as well as the displaced Long Island wrestling fans will be truly amazed at the product. It will be not easy to please everybody, however. With their International Joshi Grand Prix on the card as well as other matches, VALKYRIE has a shot to make history and personally make the effort of putting the promotion on a list of women's wrestling promotions all over the world. And if they are successful, a lit of talented women would wrestle for a promotion that can make a mark in women's wrestling across the country. It's only a matter of time before they can be successful in their venture. Follow me on Twitter @matthewhollie.
